- Assists in the recruitment, management, and retention of clinical staff.

- Participates in the development and implementation of nursing policies, standing orders, and patient education materials.
- Review upcoming schedules in advance, ensuring timely and accurate preparation for procedures, and ensures that necessary medications and supplies are on hand as needed.
- Prepares and administers physician-ordered chemotherapy and other medications according to established policies and procedures.
- Performs physician-ordered treatments as per protocol.
- Responds in an appropriate and timely manner to anticipated or unexpected clinical problems.
- Participates and contributes to ensure quality patient care.
- Revises procedures according to patient needs, new information and technology.
- Documents evaluations in medical record.
- Answers all patient calls and returns all patient messages by the end of each day.
- Provides patients and their families with verbal and written information regarding their illness, therapies and general healthcare.
- Documents teaching activities and patient progress in medical records.
- Ensures a professional and helpful working environment by upholding the standards as adopted by the practice.

- Ensures that encounter forms are complete and accurate.
- Keeps treatment rooms and lab clean, orderly and stocked. Tracks expiration dates and returns goods for refund as necessary.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations as set by the medical practice and OSHA.
- Demonstrates knowledge and competence in use of all medical equipment.
- Processes disability and insurance forms. Flags appropriate records to be copied for release of records to patients, other physicians and/or facilities.
- With other healthcare providers, ensure that the patient and family possess knowledge and understanding of the patient's illness and therapy in order to attain self-management, participation in therapy, and optimal quality of life.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a degree in nursing, with a minimum of two years' experience in nursing (clinical understanding required, willing to teach Urology specifics).
- Current California license as a LVN.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
