- Caregiver provides care and supervision to residents.
- Caregiver must be responsible for the safety and well-being of residents.
- Caregiver maintains community policies and procedures for the overall protection of residents.
- Caregiver assists residents to prepare for the day, the evening, and ADLs (Activities of Daily Living).
- Caregiver will be trained on the Emergency Protocols and be ready to enact them in any given emergency.
- Communicate and follow-up with charting to stay in compliance with daily tasks.
- Attend training and mandatory in-services with the Care Team.
- Assist leads with any assignments or work requests.
- Report any suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment or neglect.
- Assist in keeping residents' rooms, medication rooms', and common areas neat and clean.
- Any tasks assigned, as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Able to speak, read and write in English.
- First-Aid certification is required.
- Must be able to successfully complete Basic Life Support certification and bloodborne-pathogens training within 30 days of hire.
- Experience with care and supervision for elders and seniors (6 months or more experience in health care preferred).
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to: able to lift up to 60 lbs., push/pull up to 40 lbs., carry up to 20 lbs., frequent standing and walking required
- Possess access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to follow basic instructions and carry out assignments independently.
- Ability to interface appropriately with other staff, residents, family members, visitors and outside contractors.
- Ability to work flexible hours including and not limited to: weekends, evenings, holidays, and/or events.
- Own a smart phone (for schedule updates and communication).
- Possess a means of reliable transportation.
- Valid California driver's license, good driving record with active auto insurance.
- Pre-employment Physical (Health Screening) clearance
- TB Test clearance
- Drug Screen clearance
- Background Check clearance
- Satisfactory Reference checks
