    The Project Manager is an experienced leader that manages strategic, enterprise-level projects of small-medium scopes and complexities, both technical and non-technical.

    These projects range from enhancing existing business to expanding into new, strategic areas.

    The Project Manager will provide value to the overall Organization, across several Business Lines, by being the project leader responsible for the overall success of the project.

    Responsibilities will include leading all detailed phases of the Project Lifecycle:
    Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling and Closing. This position will act as a key connection point between individual leaders and contributors.


    DESCRIPTION:
    Leadership of People, Process and Communication:

    Establishes Strong Presence as Overall Project Lead and Point Person of one, or more, projects at any given time.


    Leads projects by partnering with other departments and following standardized PMI Project Management Processes & Methodologies to guarantee project success.

    Leads as Project Management Role Model, establishing best leadership practices for successfully executing

    Waterfall/Predictive,

    Agile and Hybrid projects.

    Effectively communicates Project Status, Risks & Issues and Solutions to all Stakeholders

    Establishes Project Team Roles & Responsibilities. Leads Cross-functional Project Teams of all Levels and Sizes.

    Promotes the importance, and need, for consistent project management components on all projects. Must be willing to coach others through learning project management.


    Project Initiation:


    Leads the Initiation Phase by evaluating new project ideas/requests from various business lines and partnering with them to create overall business cases, including initial high-level Scope, Timeline, Budget, Resource estimates, RACI Matrix, Risk Register, Stakeholder Register, etc.

    Establishes, and obtains official signoff of, Project Charter with Project Sponsor and Project Owner.


    Project Planning:

    Creates Professionally-Detailed Project Management Plans:

    Scope, Timeline, Budget, Procurement, Communication, Resource, Change, Risk and Stakeholder, to successfully set up the project for successful execution.

    Establishes partnering relationships with other departments and Business Lines to set the tone for the project.

    Execution/Implementation:
    Executes the Project Scope on time, on budget and to a high quality.

    Manages the Project Team's work by empowering them to lead and succeed in their daily work. Practices Servant Leadership by practicing Active Listening and exhibiting Empathy. Problem-Solves and clear roadblocks for others. Has open mindset to roll-up sleeves when necessary and do what it takes to deliver successfully.

    Sets clear direction on expectations and deliverables.

    Organizes and coordinates testing activities for alignment with project goals and objectives.

    Works with the Resource Managers to ensure that project resource hours are aligned, allocated, and fulfilled within project expectations.

    Recommends Changes and Corrective Actions to keep the project on track.

    Regularly and effectively communicates necessary project info with Project Stakeholders.

    Maintains positive team morale through all aspects of the Project. Celebrates Project Milestones and motivates team members.


    Vendor Management – Partners with IT, Business, and other Project Team members to recommend, approve, coordinate and communicate all project delivery objectives including selection, acquisition, evaluation and implementation.

    Monitoring and Controlling (Performance):


    Conducts regular working and review meetings to make sure everything is in scope, on schedule, on budget and that effective communication is being distributed to the right parties.

    Formally presents regular project updates, both written and verbal, to Senior and Executive-Level Leadership Teams.

    Documents all changes and maintains the Risk Register and Issue Log.

    Transparently communicates KPI's and Project Health. Problem-solves and develops solutions to maintain project health. Escalates issues when necessary.


    Project Close:


    Obtains formal sign-off from the Project Sponsor and Project Owner showing acceptance that the project was delivered according to agreed expectations.


    Holds interactive Lessons Learned Sessions with the Project Team to gather data and reflect on the obstacles and successes that have regularly been logged throughout the Project Lifecycle.

    Performs analysis between your project's Lessons Learned and other similar projects. Brings performance results, analytics and proposed solutions to Leadership for continuous improvement focus.

    Recognizes the Project Team for the effort and hard work that was put forth to deliver the project.

    Celebrates the Project Close

    Contributes to New Process and People Development.


    Ability and Willingness to have a "Grassroots Marketing" mindset by spreading standard Project Management Practices and Importance of the PM Role across the Organization.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.

    3-5 years of High-Level Project Management experience in Business, IT or Retail/Commercial Project Management

    Knowledge of Standard Project Management Practices & Methodologies: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

    Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is a minimum requirement. Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent, is required to be completed within 1 year of service.

    Agile Project Management Certification(s) and/or Scrum Certification(s) preferred.

    Strong desire to develop in the career of project management and leadership.

    Ability to coach & mentor others as Project Management grows within the overall organization.

    Knowledge of, and interest in Applications and Services

    Strong Leadership, Organization, Attention to Detail, Multitasking, Problem Solving, and Communication Skills.

    Excellent project, scope, time, budget, cost, communication, purchasing, change, risk and resource management

    A Self-Starter with a "Make It Happen" Mindset to Creatively Lead and Take Ownership of Overall Project Success

    Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project required

    Agile Project Management Tools such as Jira preferred; ServiceNow or Visio experience also preferred

    Knowledge and experience using video-conferencing software such as Webex, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Zoom is necessary.
