    The Arc Erie County is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Residential Team Leader to join our team. As an Assistant Residential Team Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities and their families in achieving their desired quality of life.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Supervise daily activities of individuals providing assistance and training in areas such as self-care skills, money management, cooking, self-administration of medication, and communication.
    • Intervene with individuals' inappropriate and/or potentially injurious behaviors in the least restrictive manner possible, while maintaining a safe environment.
    • Coordinate development and monitors behavior modification programs as needed.
    • Maintain safety standards, familiarity with emergency safety procedures, and provide regular training to individuals.
    • Coordinate transportation of individuals to medical appointments, recreation activities, and other appointments/activities as scheduled.
    • Assist individuals in community integration, providing supervision and training.
    • Ensure confidentiality of information about individuals.
    • Monitor Quality Assurance guidelines, including reporting, reviewing, and follow-up of incidents.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Residential Team Leader.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree PLUS six months full-time paid direct service experience in the Human Services field.
    • OR Associate's Degree PLUS two years full-time paid direct service experience in the Human Services field.
    • OR High School PLUS four years full-time paid direct service experience in the Human Services field.
    • A valid NYS driver's license and approved driving record are required.
    • Medication Administration and First Aid Certification, CPR, and Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention-Revised training (SCIP) must be taken as provided by the agency within 90 days of hire and must be maintained.

    Work Environment:

    • This position requires working in a fast-paced residential setting, with frequent interactions with individuals, staff, and external agencies.
    • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, bending, and prolonged sitting, as well as occasional snow shoveling, leaf raking, and operating household appliances.
