    Position Summary
    This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values.

    The employee shall support Saddleback Memorial Medical Center strategic plan and the goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.

    The RN, Clinical II is responsible for providing acute cardiovascular specialized patient care in a safe and effective manner from admission to discharge or inpatient transfer.

    In addition, this position is responsible for directing unlicensed staff, conducting patient assessments, executing and developing plan of care, communicating post-procedure observation, non-invasive procedure interventions, patient/family teaching, and implementation of treatment plan.

    Lastly, this position is responsible for executing and documenting physician orders and providing nursing care.
    Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
    Assesses health care needs.

    A data collection process that is systematic, includes psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and other factors and is ongoing, determined by the patients immediate condition or needs, and involves the patient, family, significant others, and health care providers when appropriate.

    Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and plan of care.
    Develops and contributes to a written plan of care to meet patients subtle as well as obvious nursing needs.
    Implements the plan of care to attain expected outcomes.
    Evaluates the patients outcomes.

    Evaluation is systematic and ongoing, is determined by the patients responses to the interventions, which are documented in the medical record.

    Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in planning and delivering patient care as a professional work responsibility.

    Identifies, develops and implements an action plan for self-development/professional growth
    Identifies subtle as well as obvious patient problems and reports to an appropriate resource person.
    Addresses the age specific needs of all populations served: adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
    Ability to be at work and be on time.
    Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives.
    Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
    Ability to prioritize and multitask
    *Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications/Work Experience:

    2 Years of Critical Care / ICU experience preferred
    Experience with Electronic Medical Record System such as EPIC

    Education/Licensure/Certification:
    Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License
    Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Card (BLS)
    Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Care (ACLS)
    Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
    CCRP (Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional) Certification preferred
