Duties
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with urgent or primary care needs, including physical examinations and medical history reviews.
- Diagnose acute illnesses and chronic conditions, developing personalized treatment plans aligned with best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Provide immediate interventions such as wound care, medication administration, and minor procedures to stabilize patients effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless referrals and follow-up services.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, management strategies, medication usage, and healthy lifestyle choices to promote long-term wellness.
- Document all patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR), maintaining compliance with privacy regulations.
- Stay current with medical advancements and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills.
Skills
- Proven experience in urgent care or primary care settings with strong clinical decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and health education to patients of all ages.
- Ability to perform minor procedures such as suturing, incision & drainage, and splinting confidently.
- Knowledge of current healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and documentation standards.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate approach combined with a proactive attitude toward patient engagement and education.
