    Job Description


    American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for day shifts, requiring a NJ or compact RN license and BLS certification.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a hospital Operating Room setting
    • Handles a wide range of surgical procedures including bariatrics, vascular, neuro, ortho, robotics, general, eye, and urology
    • Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience preferred but not required
    • Day shifts are 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
    • Scrubs are provided by the facility
    • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
    • No travel pairs or groups allowed
    • Up to 3 days of requested time off may be approved; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation
    • Modules are completed onsite during orientation and are recorded via transcripts
    • Return-to-work eligibility is restricted for recent former staff
    • Orientation covers facility operations and required processes

    Requirements

    • Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
    • Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
    • Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required
    • Must demonstrate experience with general and specialized OR procedures as listed
    • Experience with Epic documentation preferred
    • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
    • Former perm staff must have at least 1 year since previous employment at the facility
