- Prepares complete bids/proposals, follow ups with Asbestos/Lead Abatement, Demolition, Water/Mold Remediation clients for selected projects with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, take-off information, and contract requirements.
- Download project documents for new bids
- Review current pricing of fuel, materials, equipment and disposal costs
- Perform administrative tasks to support the estimating, project managers, and field personnel
- Determine scopes of work and assist multiple sales staff
- Communicate project and bid information with general contractors and owners
- Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications is a must
- Track estimating results and success rates
- Perform additional assignments per supervisory direction.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a construction estimating background in non-structural demolition and asbestos, lead and mold abatement to get involved with a highly successful and growing company. Our primary projects include VA Hospitals, schools, condo complexes, ships, banks and post offices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task, be a problem-solver, show a strong attention to detail and organization, and - most importantly - believe in a team-oriented approach. This position is based out of our Tampa, FL office.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry (demolition, asbestos and/or lead hazard abatement experience preferred).
• Construction and job costing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word) and accounting/estimating software (i.e. Xactimate, Blue Beam or equivalent)
• Able to work well as a team player.
• Problem solving/troubleshooting ability.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through.
• Full time in person position, must be able to commute daily
