Industry leader, very reputable and growing Fortune 500 manufacturer is looking for a Maintenance Manager in the Portage, Indiana area.

This role comes with a very competitive compensation plan commenusurate with experience with a base salary ranging from $90k to $95k plus a OT and a 15% annual bonus (paid quarterly) and relocation assistance (if needed).

All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

responsibilities:

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct hourly employees.
• Assign manpower and equipment as necessary to repair and upgrade plant equipment.
• Direct both planned preventative maintenance activities and work through equipment breakdown scenarios.
• Implement the safety program's goals to ensure a safe work environment.
• Identify problem(s), gather the appropriate information, and analyze in an effective manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 2-5 years supervising maintenance employees in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Analytic skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Work in a 24/7 environment that includes working rotating shifts. Responsibilities and the nature of the work can change based on the conditions of the operations which may include adjustments in work schedule, based on the severity of issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in a union environment.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance and mobile equipment repair.
