    Our real estate investment client seeks a Director of Human Resources to strategically lead HR and talent development. This person will devise strategies to attract and retain talent and possess a strong knowledge of employee relations and performance management. This role will manage two direct reports and report to the Managing Director of Client Services.

    Essential Functions:

    • Partners with leadership team to execute human resource and talent strategy.
    • Provides comprehensive HR support covering performance, talent management, employee relations, hiring, policies, compensation, benefits, and training.
    • Offers guidance on complex issues and administers tasks like accommodations, investigations, and terminations.
    • Conducts disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, ensuring compliance with laws.
    • Reviews and ensures payroll compliance, manages benefit broker relationships, and proposes competitive compensation programs.
    • Monitors and maintains compliance with employment laws and regulations.
    • Executes HR programs including performance reviews, engagement surveys, benefits enrollment, and compensation reviews.
    • Manages compliance in annual reporting requirements like EEO-1, 401k Audit, ACA Filing, and W-2.
    • Oversees immigration processes such as H1-B and OPT processing.
    • Facilitates HR team's professional development, training, and certification.
    • Prepares quarterly reports on headcount, attrition, and HR trends for board meetings.
    • Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree required.
    • 7+ years of experience in HR management with skills in employee relations, recruitment, L&D, talent management, and performance management.
    • 5+ additional years of experience in a generalist position.
    • Multi-state compliance experience (Including California)
    • SHRM or HRCI preferred.
    • Strict attention to detail.
    • High degree of confidentiality required.
    • Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
