    Position Summary
    The Business Development Representative for our Fed Gov vertical provides support to the business development and sales team in researching, identifying and qualifying opportunities. This role also coordinates and assists with marketing and sales activities.

    The role is based out of our headquarters located in Eagan, Minnesota.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Opportunity Research, Generation & Management

    • Generate opportunities within the Fed Gov vertical by researching, data-mining, and other methods
    • Track and qualify both inbound and outbound opportunities
    • Manage opportunities from generation to close when appropriate
    • Perform cold calls to Military Bases and Federal Agencies to set appointments for BD and sales team
    • Foster beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts in order to attract new business and enhance Winsted's reputation

    Sales & Marketing Operational Support

    • CRM data management including logging, reporting, planning and maintaining opportunities
    • Create and maintain a business development database in order to evaluate performance and organize client and prospective client information
    • Manage tradeshow scheduling
    • Evaluate, determine, and realize quarterly business growth goals
    • Other duties as requested

    • Meet or exceed quarterly business quotas and growth goals
    • Help build a positive, open culture that encourages and rewards cooperation and collaboration

    Essential Education, Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field, or equivalent sales and/or customer service experience
    • Experience qualifying and organizing prospect lists for sales teams
    • Knowledge of Federal & Military Construction process (MILCONs), including A&E firms and office furniture dealers providing FF&E solutions
    • Familiarity with SAM.GOV, GSA EBUY and similar bid board tools
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to communicate complex, technical and premium products
    • Ability to promote/project a professional corporate image
    • Exhibit strong motivation to make sales, achieve targets and quotes
    • Detail oriented and able to multitask in unpredictable work environment/load
    • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and meet deadlines
    • Flexible and adaptable self-starter
    • Experience with local and national trade show activities
    • Ability to travel, up to 10%
    • Technology Skills including:
      1. Using technology and available tools for project research
      2. Strong computer proficiency, preferably with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Sales Tools
      3. Knowledge of Federal and State Budget research tools (Govtribe, Fedmine, Deltek, etc.)
      4. CRM (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, Sales Force or similar)
