    Location: Madison/Dane County/Adult Residential Program

    Position Summary

    The Clinical Therapist is responsible for the overall clinical services provided to clients of the program and is expected to provide clients with clinical, and supportive social services designed to overcome substance use, mental health, family, personal, health, and other functional problems. The Clinical Therapist develops and implements the clinical focus of our mission to manage, motivate, and follow through with client treatment planning and clinical services. This position will be responsible for providing individual, groups, and other appropriate clinical services within the needs of the residential program and the scope of their training. The Clinical Therapist position works at Tellurian's Adult Residential Program located in Madison, WI.

    Essential Functions

    • Provide individual and group counseling services to clients experiencing mental health and substance use issues; maintain a caseload of up to eight clients
    • Facilitate two to three group counseling sessions weekly (i.e. including men's and women's therapy groups, CBT, DBT, recovery maintenance, cravings, family group)
    • Work closely with multidisciplinary treatment team and community partners to ensure an integrated treatment plan that is person-centered and team-focused and reflects assessments of both psychosocial and recovery goals of the client
    • Maintain correspondence, present clinical updates to Program Clinical Supervisor
    • Advocate for clients by providing clinical reviews and authorization requests for various funding sources including commercial insurance agencies, County Human Services Departments, and Tribal Agencies

    · Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress with respect to client service goals.

    • Provide advocacy for clients by requesting additional time for treatment from insurance companies and other benefit-providing agencies
    • Recruit community groups to make presentations to clients and families regarding resources they provide and networking channels for food, shelter and employment
    • Assess client's for safety including suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation & self-harm; develop appropriate safety plans

    Qualifications

    • A master's degree in health/social services
    • Licensure/Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor or SAC-IT is Preferred
    • Must be actively licensed, LPCT, LPC, APSW, LCSW, LMFT.
