Join our team at Freedom Flooring as a Ceramic Tile Installer, where you'll play a vital role in transforming spaces with precision and craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to large commercial installations. As a Ceramic Tile Installer, you'll be responsible for laying high-quality tile surfaces ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will help create beautiful, functional environments that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine tile layout and installation procedures.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying suitable substrates to ensure proper adhesion of tiles.
  • Cut, shape, and install ceramic tiles using hand tools and power tools with precision and attention to detail.
  • Mix mortar, grout, and adhesives according to manufacturer specifications for optimal bonding.
  • Install fixtures such as trim, caulking, and decorative elements to enhance the finished appearance.
  • Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and masonry to coordinate seamless project execution.

Skills

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings related to tile installation projects.
  • Experience with hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) used in tile laying.
  • Knowledge of construction management practices and managing timelines.
  • Familiarity with construction inspection procedures to ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
