- Be responsible for integration of specialized mission unique software (MUS) software on Linux and Windows based virtual machines for the Missile Defense Space Center.
- Identify and define requirements for new systems / system modifications, supporting design implementation and formal testing.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to determine configuration issues.
- Proactively remediate integration problems as they arise.
- Work closely with a team of engineers, including system administrators, network engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers, to provide high quality, innovative integration services to the Government customer.
- Serve as a major contributor to technical planning process and for providing technical management and guidance.
- Work with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions.
- Conduct on-going system patching to reduce cybersecurity risks.
- Conduct testing to ensure installations and functionality is met.
- Conduct daily system monitoring, system backup and restoral, and application upgrades to ensure optimal and continuous system operations.
- Be responsible for ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break/fix activities, testing and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements with multiple internal and external teams.
- Assist in communicating errors between software developers and the end user.
- Identify and develop scripts or changes to SW to provide desired functionality.
- Be a strong innovator in process improvement and system design.
- Be able to quickly learn challenging concepts, decompose difficult software problems and provide resolution.
- Effectively function as self-starter and identify risks, issues, and opportunities
- Be able to report to Schriever SFB within 2 hours to support mission surge support events.
- Support occasional evening and weekend events for the MDA customer.
- Must have 7 years of directly related experience.
- Must have 3 years of management or leadership experience
- Must have recent MDA experience or space experience
- Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+).
