    Our company is a leading supplier of new and used track materials. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, we have sales offices and a network of storage and distribution facilities strategically located throughout the United States.

    Job Description

    The Western Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the overall commercial operation of the including sales of railroad track materials in the Western United States and portions of Canada while directing the operation and function of the regional sales office. The successful candidate will be located within the companies sales office located in Salt Lake City.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the regions existing customer base effectively to increase market volume and commercial opportunities.
    • Maintain strong partnerships with customer base, direct assembly, and steer negotiations of proposals as required to achieve desired result using sound market knowledge
    • Assist and guide regional personnel in effective sales execution
    • Gain and possess effective operation the companys enterprise system
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with regional customer base
    • Manage and report sales results
    • Assess, collect, and communicate competitive information
    • Work effectively with internal personnel Requirements

    Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or commensurate experience

    • 5 years of experience in Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, or Engineering
    • Railroad product and industry knowledge required
    • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Strong presentation and written communication skills
    • Comfort working independently
    • Must be proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
    • Willing and able to travel up to 6-10 nights per month
