- As a construction inspector in RK&K's Construction / CEI division you will perform complex and routine inspections of construction to evaluate if appropriate materials and construction processes are being used; and that construction conforms to plans, specifications, and special provisions.
- Conduct field inspections
- Use mobile devices to document work - as required in North Carolina
- Documents the results of the inspection and communicates to the supervisor.
- Conducts field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation as well as other contract administration documentation.
- Inspects work zones for proper traffic control setup, erosion control devices and maintenance thereof, utility coordination and right-of-way issue resolution.
- At least two (2) years of roadway inspection experience for highway construction methods , materials , standards and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and favorable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- NCDOT Certifications preferred:
- NCDOT Erosion & Sediment Control Level II
- NCDOT Introduction to Asphalt Pavements
- NCDOT QMS Roadway Technician
- NCDOT Concrete Field Technician
- ACI Concrete Field Technician
- NCDOT ABC Sampling Technician
- NCDOT Borrow Pit Sampling Technician
- NCDOT Conventional Density Technician
- NICET Certifications
