    Summary:

    As the Class A CDL Driver, you'll play a vital role in hauling materials and equipment to and from various sites across Ohio. This is a full time and year-round role with no off-season Client off period. Get ready to hit the road with confidence and make a real impact

    Primary Job Responsibilities:
    • Load and unload heavy equipment and materials using a variety of trucks and trailers (semi, flatbed, dump truck).

    • Transport structural steel, building materials, and permitted loads with precision and care.

    • Ensure that all loads are securely and safely strapped down in compliance with best practices.

    • Conduct inspections of trucks and trailers, performing preventative maintenance as needed.

    • Operate in compliance with FMCSA safety standards and DOT regulations.

    • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules with efficiency and professionalism.

    • Maintain safety devices on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

    • Foster a safe work environment by adhering to company safety policies and procedures.


    Additional Role Requirement:

    In addition to driving responsibilities, the Class A CDL Driver must be prepared to roll up their sleeves and be hands-on when not behind the wheel. This entails assisting mechanics, supporting activities around the shop, and lending a hand in the field as needed. While driving will account for 50% of your time, downtime will be filled with a variety of hands-on responsibilities to support and enhance the team's operations and avoid any seasonal layoff.

    Desired Qualifications/Skills:
    • High School Diploma or GED required.

    • Minimum of three years of CDL experience with a clean driving record.

    • Various Heavy equipment experience is a must (forklift, crane, backhoe, bulldozer, skid steer loader, grader, compactor, etc.).

    • Valid Class A CDL and medical card required.

    • Excellent communication and time management skills.

    • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    • Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and meet attendance schedules consistently.

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs safety and effectively or get team lift support.

    • Willingness to perform tasks that may require kneeling, bending, or pivoting as necessary.

    • Capacity to sit (driving) or stand (general labor) for extended periods, as needed, to complete job responsibilities.

    • Flexibility to adapt to physical demands and requirements of the role, including occasional strenuous activity.
