    The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center is a magnificent and storied hotel nestled in the heart of Roanoke, Virginia. Built in 1882, the Tudor-style hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a member of the International Association of Conference Centers.     Overview:

    Are you ready to join our dynamic team and serve up some seriously good food? We are on the hunt for a charismatic and energetic Fine Dining Server to become an integral part of our Regency Room Team. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through outstanding service and attention to detail, and love interacting with people, then this is the opportunity you've been waiting for Dinner shift starts at 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm / 11:00 pm depending on closing duties

    Responsibilities

    As a Restaurant Server, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Greeting and seating guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
    • Taking food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Recommending menu items and answering guest inquiries about food and beverages.
    • Delivering food and beverages to tables in a timely and organized manner.
    • Ensuring guests have a positive and enjoyable dining experience by providing attentive and personalized service.
    • Anticipating and fulfilling guest needs, including refilling drinks, clearing dishes, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
    • Collaborating seamlessly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and timely.
    • Handling guest payments and processing transactions accurately.
    • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including setting and resetting tables.
    Qualifications:
      • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
      • Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
      • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
      • Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
      • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
      • Previous full-service restaurant service experience is required. Fine dining experience is a plus.
      • Team player mindset, able to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
      • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
