Description

The Utility staff position is responsible for the following: dish-washing, pot-washing; general kitchen cleaning duties; storing food and non-food supplies; Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, floors, work surfaces, and other kitchen areas

Assists kitchen staff with storing food and non-food supplies as directed including breaking down all boxes before placing in trash receptacles.

Completes all items on shift check-list.
Attends all mandatory staff meetings, in-services, education sessions, etc.
Maintains a high level of customer service for our residents & their guests at all times.
Uses all safety equipment & follows safety procedures according to GCV policies.
Ability to effectively communicate & follow instructions in English both orally and in writing
Experience with dishwashing and kitchen work preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, coworkers, and Director – Food & Beverage; Ability to stand/walk for 100% of the work day (4 – 8 hour shift).

Ability to work indoors and outdoors as required.
Must have good manual dexterity for operating a fire extinguisher, telephone, and appropriate Food & Beverage equipment.
May be exposed to quick variance of hot and cold temperatures from ovens, freezers/coolers, dishwashing equipment, etc.
May be exposed to industrial cleaning and other chemicals, dust, hot water temperatures, and offensive odors daily.
May be exposed to communicable diseases and blood/body fluids that may contain HBV and HIV viruses.
Must be able to maintain mental & visual attention to diversified operations;
