- Perform weekly inspections to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in work areas.
- Oversee security providers and manage day-to-day concerns.
- Evaluate onsite processes for potential hazards and implement hazard control methods.
- Conduct safety training for all employees and contractors, including new hire orientation.
- Maintain safety training records, incident reports, and safety logs.
- Lead Safety Committee meetings and update Safety Data Sheets.
- Manage inventory of required PPEs and First Aid Cabinets.
- Lead safety-related incident investigations and collaborate with HR for corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures such as Lockout/Tag Out and Confined Space protocols.
- Implement emergency response procedures and drills and oversee emergency response teams.
- Dispose of universal and hazardous waste properly.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company EH&S programs.
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, and inspections as necessary.
- Prepare safety statistics and reports for Corporate EHS Manager.
- Competencies include computer skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
- Reports to Corporate EHS Manager under the supervision of site Director of Operations and Manager of Operations.
- Associate degree in related field or safety certifications; CSP certification a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of safety experience preferred.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance, OSHA regulations, and ability to apply rules effectively.
- First aid/CPR/AED/OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Physical activity includes walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Activities conducted in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust and temperature changes.
