    Job Title: Linux (Redhat) Administrator

    Location: College Park, MD

    Summary

    We deliver essential technology services to our customers in support of their missions to sustain the national security and economic interest of our nation. We are seeking qualified candidates in support of an end-to-end data center managed service for the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that includes computing, storage, and networking tasks. SecuriGence is seeking a Linux (Redhat) Administrator to help contribute to our success. Help us solve problems with Innovation Through Intelligence.

    Responsibilities

    Provide support for Linux systems running on Red Hat enterprise Linux. Activities include troubleshooting, patching, backing up / restoring of VM's, deploying new VM's and working with application teams on Middleware support.

    Linux Administrative activities include:

    • Patching servers monthly or on as needed basis for vulnerabilities.
    • Resolve daily issues on Red Hat servers and escalate if assistance required.
    • Troubleshoot issues on Red Hat Identity Management servers.
    • Troubleshoot issues on Certificate and PKI infrastructure.
    • Must be available for 24x7 on call rotation.
    • Resolve help desk tickets.
    • Must be able to work with oversite to execute against a set of requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
    • Should have working knowledge of Red Hat Linux
    • Ability to identify and troubleshoot and resolve tickets opened for routine tasks.
    • Identify backup failures of VM's and work with Backup admin to resolve the issues.
    • Reset passwords, create accounts, Assign permission.
    • Manage file mounts, monitor space usage and increase as appropriate.

    This contract requires all candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.

    No Remote Work allowed. No remote work requests entertained. Overtime is not required. Travel is not required. Weekend and on call work will be required.
