    Position Overview:
    The Novelis Information Technology team is seeking a Lead Middleware Architect. We are seeking an IT Middleware MuleSoft Architect who is passionate about developing MuleSoft integrations and APIs to integrate with various ERP endpoints (SAP, Oracle, legacy) with other application endpoints

    This is an outstanding opportunity to define the roadmap for Industry 4.0 and SMART Factory templates for future global integrations

    This role is located at Novelis' Global Corporate HQ's in Atlanta and will contribute to the global MuleSoft architecture design for some very important groundbreaking MES projects, including for our Bay Minette, AL greenfield site slated for launch in late 2026 that will be the nation's most technologically advanced fully integrated aluminum mill


    Within Novelis' Global Applications Center of Excellence (COE), the MuleSoft Architect will work closely with middleware and endpoint developers, as well as Functional IT Leads to translate functional and mapping requirements into middleware applications.

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    Responsibilities:


    Contribute to the architecture vision for the team and the platform as technical leader, identifying new and strategic technologies that improve security, scalability, reliability, and performance.

    Conduct requirement gathering and lead solution design process working with collaborators to implement sophisticated integrations.

    Configure and administer CI/CD solutions using Azure DevOps.

    Build and influence standards for Development, Governance and Operational life-cycle.

    Develop and promote technical design standards, best practices, guidelines, and procedures.

    Ensure quality, compliance and security is built-in on all areas of work.

    Engage in Code review process to enforce standards and best practices.

    Use experience in MuleSoft Platform to build, deploy applications in CloudHub and Hybrid architectures.

    Practice API-Led Connectivity, integration with external logging - ELK framework and use of MuleSoft connectors.

    Apply knowledge of SAP connectors, such as oData and Idocs.

    Develop team approach to software development and delivery.

    Remain up-to-speed the latest with platform and technologies to maintain domain expertise.

    Responsible for developing code that supports different plants, yet the solution needs to remain scalable and global.

    Conduct and review coding solutions that are developed by external, offshore resources.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field.

    5+ years of experience in Middleware.

    3+ years of experience with architecting solutions in MuleSoft (Mule 4, preferably).

    Experience with SAP connectors (oData, Idoc) AND/OR in a manufacturing / industrial environment; ideally, 1+ years.


    Excellent oral and written communication skills required for Use Case collaboration with members of the IT team and collaborators in semi-technical terms.

    Developed skills working in a team oriented, highly collaborative workplace.

    Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and initiatives in a global settings.

    Ability to build technical specifications and perform technical testing.

    Ability to read design documentation to deliver accurate estimates for development (including analysis, development, technical unit testing).

    Ability to work with functional resources to clarify questions about designs and solutions.

    Comfortability with providing direction and guidance to offshore resources.

    Presently authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work onsite at the Corporate HQ's in Atlanta at the time of hire.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Mulesoft certifications (Integration Architect) a plus.

    Solid understanding of TIBCO integrations.

    Solid understanding of ELK.
