    The Senior Merchandising Strategy Manager role is a contract position responsible for driving world-class customer experience strategies across our entire store portfolio.

    As a strategic leader, this person will work closely with business teams across the enterprise to drive visual merchandising experiences that deliver on key objectives, identify KPIs, and ensure creative execution delivers on the strategy.

    This position owns roll out of new digital screens & content mapping, developing comprehensive merchandising strategic plans to support promotions and enterprise initiatives, creating supporting briefs and building project plans to gain alignment.

    This position owns merchandising strategy planning and execution from intake to launch, coordinating cross functional teams and identifying milestones and dependencies enabling a smooth launch.

    They also participate in all related GTM, Marketing and LOB cross-functional meetings.

    Other duties include driving, developing, and implementing communication tools and procedures to enable operational excellence for the field and impactful experiences for customers.

    This role requires cross-functional partnerships with Marketing, Brand, Product Management, Creative, GTM, National Account Managers, Channel Leadership and other Enterprise Delivery Partners.

    Must have ability to assimilate detailed data and insights, processes and people in a structured way that advises critical thinking and planning.

    Must have ability to present to senior leadership.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop merchandising strategy and roadmap for specific projects


    Drives the creation of detailed strategic merchandising briefs and tactical documents to gain leadership and cross-functional alignment.


    Manage rollout of new digital initiative and other projects as assigned.


    Kick off internal terms to deliver on merchandising strategic initiative. Remain point-of-contact throughout development to ensure the project or campaign remains on time, within scope and budget.



    Drive end to end execution of their campaigns and initiatives including completion of all the project milestones prior to launch, support during launch, and follow up actions post launch for the merchandising initiatives they own.

    Owns creating and managing project schedules, budgets and securing production resources and communicating those to cross-functional teams.


    Own relationship with key internal business groups with a focus on retail merchandising support needs, product, and service launches. Ensure strategic support for near term business driving initiatives and quick turn requests.


    Build relationships with internal business partners.


    Represent Retail Merchandising strategy in all cross-functional Marketing and Go to Market meetings.


    Drives alignment for all execution trade off decisions.

    Ensures that cross functional teams have identified detailed scenarios and use cases, all corresponding risks have been identified and evaluated and solutions are properly selected.


    Participates in regular status meetings to ensure in-progress work is tracking. Hold team accountable for tasks/deadlines with minimal direction.


    Provide support during campaign launch and follow up actions post launch for the merchandising initiatives they own.

    Prepare departmental communications and provide status for key projects to internal customers.


    Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by management as needed.

    Qualifications:

    5+ years of experience in Marketing, Retail Merchandising, or related field. Additional Project Management experience a plus.


    Experience in a technology focused marketing or product management space preferred.


    2-4 Years: Analytical experience preferred.


    Drive merchandising strategy with multiple levels of leadership.


    Proficient at building simple but impactful project plan documentation that communicates merchandising strategy, recommendations, risks and tradeoffs.


    Ability to communicate with and lead executives to specific outcomes.


    Ability to lead cross functional teams.


    Proactive in anticipating and preempting potential problems.


    Demonstrated operational performance management capabilities.

    Education (Minimum Requirements):

    Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field


    Legally authorized to work in the United States


    High School Diploma or GED


    Must be available to work in person at our Bellevue, WA headquarters at least 4 days per week.
