Material Handler - McGregor - Allied Steel Buildings

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1–2 years of experience working as a warehouse associate, forklift operator, or distribution worker in warehouse operations, manufacturing, construction, or logistics environments preferred.
  

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  

• Experience operating forklifts and warehouse material handling equipment.
  

• Forklift operator certification is a plus or may be required upon hire.
  

• Basic math and computer skills for warehouse inventory tracking and documentation.
  

• Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and material flow management.
  

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  

• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  

• Ability to read, write, and understand basic English and/or Spanish to follow safety instructions and work orders.
  

• Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities.
  

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety and productivity.
  

This role is a great fit for individuals who have previously worked as a warehouse associate, forklift operator, or distribution worker in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
  

• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to [e.g., 50 pounds] regularly.
  

• Ability to work in various environmental conditions common to a manufacturing facility (e.g., varying temperatures, noise levels, potential for dust/debris, wet floors).
  

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating equipment and handling supplies.
  

Work Schedule: 

• Full-time: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (6:00am - 2:00pm), 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm)
  

• Depending on production needs, some weekend work may be required.
