    Mortgage Loan Officer Responsibilities

    Assists in providing quality loans for the financial institution by underwriting and evaluating residential mortgage applications originated by financial institution personnel, which includes loans originated through our Third-Party Origination agreement.

    Recommends approval of customer applications for residential loans or extensions of real estate loan lines of credit.
    Assists in maintaining, monitoring, and managing the pipeline.

    Mortgage Loan Officer Requirements:
    Very active and involved in the community, with a solid understanding of the local real estate market
    Solidly connected with Real Estate Agents, Insurance Agents, and Developers in the local area
    Thorough understanding of loan underwriting, compliance, procedures, and current consumer/mortgage lending laws and regulations.
    Proficient communication – in person, over the phone, and via email
    Proficient math and computer skills
    Minimum of three (3) years of mortgage or lending experience.
    Proven track record of production in mortgage lending
