    Description


    This position is responsible for leadership of the Comfort Finance and Accounting team. Key responsibilities for this role include leadership of the team, oversight of key financial variables impacting Comfort, support to the VP of Direct and VP of Business Support for all finance related items. Improve and maintain controllership of material financial practices. Be a part of the Comfort leadership team.



    Major Areas of Accountability



    Major functions are described below. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Oversee day to day operations of the Comfort Medical finance and account team; lead the team to develop and implement effective and efficient finance processes
    • Accountable and responsible for the preparation and management of internal financial reporting, forecasts of future business growth, monthly and yearly forecasts, and monthly business performance reviews
    • This role also owns local controllership and ownership of accounts payable, accounts receivable and other accounting functions
    • Advise, influence, and guide senior business leaders on financial and operational implications of business strategies
    • Continually improve expense and revenue reporting for Comfort that enable business leaders to make decisions to meet their forecasted targets in an ever-changing business
    • Identify and drive margin opportunities for the company to meet financial goals
    • Partner with the headquarters finance team to drive continued improvement to and understanding of the Comfort P&L, including ensuring Comfort financials are accurately reflected in North America and CHQ finance tools
    • Responsible for ensuring operational owners have transparency to the annual financial cadences. This role owns getting operational support of financial objectives
    • Provide strategic direction and financial insights to Comfort leaders
    • Build a high performing staff with a proactive and service-oriented mindset, whose consultation and advice are sought out by the organization as it conducts activities to improve performance
    • Manages the department including interviewing, hiring employees, conducting performance evaluation, and skill and career
    • Direct or assist in special projects as requested


    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent
    • 10+ years of experience working in Finance or a finance related field, with demonstrated career progression
    • Previous leadership experience
    • Excellent communications skills with comfort in delivering tough messages to senior leaders
    • Ability to hold senior leaders accountable to achieving finance targets of the organization
