- Responsible for assembling a project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables.
- Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members.
- Lead the identification, assessment, monitoring and closure of project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes to facilitate customer acceptance.
- Responsible to improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency, and boost morale
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
- Work on special projects as needed as assigned by senior leadership group.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
- Functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments. May require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments. Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.
- Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
- Ability to analyze and correct process and or system issues using independent judgment
- Ability to generate and explain detailed schedules and performance objectives
- Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately
- BS or BA in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience in presenting to mid-level management
- 2+ years demonstrated project management experience in at least one discipline (Finance, Procurement, IT, R&D, Ops, etc.)
