Provides supervision of non-RN personnel on the assigned unit. When assuming the charge role, delegates and supervises unit activities. ~Demonstrates Competency When Functioning As Rn For Neonatal Transport.
~Incorporates Principles Of Developmentally Supportive And Family Centered Care.
~Supports breast feeding in the NICU through assistance, instruction and collaboration with Lactation Consultant when indicated.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Proficient in use of computer software to include electronic patient records. Must have ability to use internet for literature searches regarding care for patients.
Recent Level 2 Or 3 Experience preferred.
Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
NICU Certification Required Within Two Years After Completion Of Orientation. For Those Employed As Of Edit Date, Nicu Certification Required By 4/1/17.
