- Cultivates a safe environment for campers.
- Assesses, records, and notifies supervisor and USF security of any accidents or hazards
- Properly fills out incident reports
- Maintains a respectful and professional relationship with faculty members, campers, and coworkers.
- Greets campers and parents during drop-off and pick-up times
- Leads games and activities for campers
- Facilitates small group discussion related to camp content
- Works with faculty facilitators to meet youth learning outcomes and ensure program success
- Assists in supervising and moderating camp lessons and projects
- Escorts campers to various on-campus locations safely and efficiently
- Participates in all staff training and workshops
- Conducts end-of-camp evaluations
- Assists in clean-up and maintenance of camp areas
- Stays in residence halls overnight July 28th - August 1st
- Aids recruitment efforts in Fort Wayne-South Bend diocese
- Creates lively atmosphere through positive attitude and engagement with camp theme
- Apply care to your words and deeds to ensure respect for others.
- Commit to follow through without exception and with quality.
- Offer additional assistance after serving as in, "How else may I assist you?"
- Respond promptly, whether in person, via phone, or email.
- Current USF student preferred
- Willingness to get CPR certified preferred
- No experience necessary
- Experience working with youth in educational or ministerial settings preferred
- Ability to take initiative, follow directions, and work as part of a team

Director of Lilly Theology Camp
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of the Lilly Theology Camp, a camp counselor assists with the facilitation of the "Beauty Will Save the World" summer camp and assumes responsibility for the care, supervision, and instruction of campers (grades 9th-12th).
A camp counselor is expected to mentor and lead campers.Additionally, a counselor assists the camp director, camp coordinator and camp consultant with ideas and suggestions for program development and improvement.
All counselors are expected to exercise good judgment, independence, and initiative in conducting day-to-day operations.Please note:
This is a temporary position.
Counselors will be committed to be present for formation/preparation days July 25th-27th and for the entirety of the camp July 28th-Aug 1st.
