- Preparing and delivering classroom instruction and support in Match classrooms
- Upholding high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there;
- Communicating regularly and proactively with families;
- Participating actively in Match's coaching and professional development programming;
- Assisting with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; and
- Serving as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community
- have at least two years of full-time experience as classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting;
- hold a valid and appropriate educator license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire;
- believe that all students can and will succeed;
- Have a desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback;
- have a proven record of student success and achievement; and
- demonstrate an ability to work well on a team, and a willingness to support others in doing their best work.

Students gain acceptance to our schools via an annual blind public lottery open to all Boston residents.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are accepting applications for experienced classroom teachers in all grades and subjects for the school year. The salary range for teachers new to Match is $61,812-98,899 and is determined by the candidate's prior years of full-time teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150/month in loan repayment assistance.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching positions are based at our PreK-5 elementary school (100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park), our 6-8 middle school (215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain), or our high school (1001 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton)
