Job Description

The Director Qualified Lead Teacher will lead a classroom and be on standby to manage our day-to-day operations and establish and sustain a positive learning environment for children in the absence of the Day Care Director. When the Day Care Assistant Director is not functioning as the Director Designee, he/she will function as a Day Care Lead Teacher.

• A minimum of an AAS in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with a minimum of 21 credits in early childhood education or child development.
• A Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential OR 3 credits OR 3 points of credential approved training in administration, leadership, or management
• Knowledge of the Illinois Early Learning Standards
• Must be certified or trained in CPR and First Aid/AED Infants and Children, Mandated Reporter, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID), Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), and the Safe Sleep Recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics or be willing to attain certification and training.
