    About Our Client

    This is a fantastic opportunity to help build out an asset management platform and lead a portfolio of assets worth over $800MM.

    Job Description

    Focusing on the firms assets throughout Texas and multiple other states the asset manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of all multifamily assets. Having a hands on approach to this is key and the asset manager will be required to make regular site visits. Alongside this your dial roels and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Maximize total ROI for all assets and assessing where to add value and improvements to current and existing assets.
  • Provide direction (leadership) and oversight of business plans, budgets, forecasts, leases, analysis and approvals.
  • Working in a collaborative fashion with third-party property managers, lease administrators, leasing agents, legal counsel, auditors and accountants.
  • Works with construction management to create a vision for the capital improvements to the asset
  • Tracks lender mandated reporting and covenants such as debt service ratio coverages.
  • Develop and distribute periodic asset management reports to investors, consultants and other partners
  • Negotiate third party contracts.
  • Participates in the annual budget process.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly operating reports from property managers
  • Understand different financial evaluation methods related to valuation and performance of real estate (such as IRRs, NPVs, WACCs, etc.)
  • Analyze market and submarket comps and track against portfolio performance
  • Prepare reports for lenders, institutional partners, and the Investment Committee using PowerPoint and Adobe suite
  • Manage asset management files and records
  • Work with Acquisitions team to develop asset business plans
  • Assist the Director of Asset Management
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures to maintain effective internal controls
  • Assist in operational takeovers and property manager transitions

    The Successful Applicant

    Based out of their Austin HQ the successful asset manager must have strong hands on asset management, value add and leadership experience. Alongside this you must possess:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or real estate focused industry
  • 1-4 years of Multifamily real estate asset management experience.
  • Strong lease administrative and hands on asset management experience.
  • Experience with managing over a significant portfolio of Class A multifamily Assets
  • Financial modelling and excel capabilities
  • Experience in site leadership managing over property managers, vendors and maintenance professionals on multifamily sites What's on Offer
