    • JOB SUMMARY
      • The Help Desk Tech I is responsible for coordinating the services between the Information Technology Department and computer users experiencing problems and/or requiring assistance. Duties require the technician to handle multiple requests, analyze and assist in diagnosing problems relative to workstations, workstation connectivity, peripheral equipment, and Microsoft Office applications through discussion with users, desktop support, or escalation of issue to others in the department. This position is responsible for documenting all issues and resolutions, configuration and installation of workstations and peripherals, and may be required to support specific systems, such as telephone, audio/video, clinical, or financial. This position will be part of the departmental on-call rotation for non-business hours.
    • JOB QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education:
        • Requires an Associate of Science degree in appropriate Information Technology field or directly related experience supporting a medium to large computer operation.
        • Minimum of 1-year experience in a Help Desk Support position or Computer Repair (preferred).
      • Job Knowledge and Skills:
        • Support Certification (A+, MCDST, MCP, MCSA, MCSE) preferred, not mandatory.
        • Understanding of PC hardware, peripherals, operating systems, and Microsoft Office. Basic knowledge of network protocols, switches, and e-mail. Possesses basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to communicate in English; both verbally and in writing.
