Assistant Director of Nursing 2 (ADON2)

to join our team


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

ADON2:
(cover 3-11 or 11-7 callouts)

Clinical management and oversight of units

Progress Note review


Admissions f/u:
Assessment completion

Review of future MD appointments

Dx confirmation,

Med rec for admissions

Care plan completion


GDR
Care conference attendance

Unit manager support- clinically

Utilization review

Wounds

Rehospitalizations

Ensure safe discharge for homeward-bound residents which may incorporate patient/ family teaching (meds and treatments).

assist with recruitment/ retention efforts, and on-boarding.

Promote and improve the nursing care of residents

Supervise Nursing staff for policy compliance, behavior, and appropriate resident interactions, and initiate the disciplinary process

Prepare QAPI material for the nursing department

Relieve DON for time off

Narcotic management

Ability to prepare DOH-requested information and send secure files

Ensure follow-up consult appointments are scheduled, completed, and reviewed with the MD

Coordinate contract providers and facilitate barriers to care

Positive support with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT)
