Job SummaryThe Patient Services Coordinator will work at the front desk in the majority of clinics.
This position acts as a contact for patients, visitors, vendors, and the community at large accessing services of the College of Dentistry via telephone contact, face-to-face encounters, and daily appointments.
Welcomes all patients/family members/others to clinic in a friendly manner.This position is responsible for the check in registration of patients
Duties include:
* obtaining demographics
* verification of coverage
* annual documentation of forms as required
* scheduling of appointments
* collecting co-pays and amounts due at time of service
* answering basic insurance coverage questions.
* process and maintain registration information in the electronic health record
* screening and directing incoming calls
As part of the front office staff, this position will also process referrals and provide excellent customer service. The successful candidate will maximize patients' financial coverage through proper registration and verification of benefits.
