The WJB Dorn VA Medical Center is recruiting outpatient primary care physicians for our Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Sumter, SC.

We seek full-time, board eligible Internal Medicine or Family Practice physicians for primary care positions in Ambulatory Care.

As an independent physician, you will deliver comprehensive care to Veterans presenting with health concerns.

Your duties will include day-to-day care of patients with ambulatory/primary care appointments and providing preventive, chronic, and urgent care.

You will operate as a member of the team practice model, working with special populations including Geriatrics, OEF/OIF, Spinal Cord injury, and Wound care.

Opportunities exist to teach residents, medical students, nurse practitioners, and nurse practitioner students.

Work hours are 8am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Citizenship: US Citizen (noncitizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited)

Licensure and Registration: Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine

Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from a Secretary-approved school
