    TeamHealth currently has full-time (FT), part-time (PT) and PRN openings for an emergency medicine (EM) physician at UT Health Athens in Athens, Texas. Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible in emergency medicine (ABEM or ABOEM) or internal medicine (IM)/family practice (FM) with emergency medicine experience.

    UT Health Athens is one of 10 facilities that comprise UT Health East Texas (UTHET):
    • Comprised of 10 hospitals

    • 13 regional rehabilitation facilities
    • 2 free standing emergency centers
    • Home health services covering 41 counties
    • EMS fleet of more than 45 ambulances and 4 helicopters
    • Comprehensive 7 trauma center care network

    • Partnership with the University of Texas system, providing patients access to leading-edge research and clinical therapies
    Facility Highlights:
    • 26,200 annual visits
    • 127-bed hospital
    • 12-hour shifts for both experienced APCs (advanced practice clinicians and physicians)
    • Level IV trauma
    • Level III stroke support facility designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services
    • Emergency room nurses with Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Pediatric Course (EPNC)
    • Diagnostic services featuring x-ray, ultrasound, CT with iDose radiation reduction and other imaging modalities when needed
    • Maternity unit featuring eight LDRP suites
    • Laboratory services on-site
    • Private treatment rooms
    • EPIC EMR
