Quality Engineer Internship - Rice Lake, United States - Quanex

Description

Quanex is looking for aQuality Engineer Intern to join our team located in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

The successful candidate will have strong background in statistics, accurate documentation, understanding of engineering principles in equipment design, and excellent communication skills.

What Success looks like:
Manage total project activities with a plan schedule for timely completion.
Operate and maintain statistical process control equipment and data in an efficient productive manner.

Correlate, consult, collects data, tests, writes test reports, develops the project plan, and advises supervisor of recommended courses of action as required.

Manage the collection of data, assemble results, reports and recommendations accumulated during execution of the project plan and arrange into accurate and concise documentation for project files.

Manage and present design proposals for discussion and evaluation with management, customer, vendors, trade organizations and code groupsPrepares, executes and releases Quality Test Requests (QTR)Capable of process design and development with an understanding of manufacturing processes, with focus on manufacturing techniques and equipment.

Description of skills and experience:
Pursuing Bachelor of Science Degree in a related quality or engineering field.
Experience with quality and engineering equipment.
Good organizational skills and the ability to work simultaneously with multiple priorities.
Ability to influence and induce cooperation in all environments.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to operate efficiently within an office environment. Knowledge of comparator a plus.
