We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join the AWS Networking Data Management and Research team at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The team is responsible for owning a data bus that handles ingestion, enrichment, and transformation of networking raw data. Our goal is to distribute the data to customers and develop systems that allow customers and scientists to conduct experiments on it.

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer who will oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features.

About the Team

The Network Availability Engineering team at AWS is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of network availability and performance for a range of customers, from video streamers and gaming companies to financial institutions.

This team of engineers and scientists monitors and analyzes vast amounts of data from millions of devices daily, using insights to drive near-real-time automated recovery and enhance network performance for customers.

We have openings for this position in Seattle, WA, USA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of experience in at least one programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience in mentoring, tech leadership, or leading engineering teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
