$150,000 - $165,000Job SummaryGalapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level three Contract Specialist position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Contracting Officer in the planning and execution of acquisitions across a diverse range of products and services, bolstering our contracting efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience and expertise in contract management, with a proven record of accomplishment of success in navigating complex acquisition processes.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are crucial for excelling in this role.

Skills / Experience Required10 + years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) experience with proven/practical hands-on experience with contracts and subcontractProvide end-to-end contract support, including meticulous market research, solicitation documentation preparation, and thorough proposal review to ensure compliance with regulationsExpertly prepare cost/price evaluations, offering strategic negotiation advice to secure favorable outcomesCollaborate with stakeholders to develop tailored acquisition strategies and decide best contract methodsAdminister contracts diligently, maintaining meticulous documentation and facilitating necessary modificationsAssist Contracting Officers in ensuring contract performance and addressing emerging issuesDemonstrate mastery of regulatory requirements and extensive experience with agencies like DCAA and DCMARecognized as an industry leader with exceptional analytical and leadership skillsExcel in organizing and presenting complex concepts to diverse audiencesWork autonomously while fostering collaboration and innovation among team membersApply strong critical thinking skills to anticipate and address challenges proactivelyOversee contracts, liaising with internal and external stakeholders for seamless executionNegotiate contract terms aligning with organizational goals, prioritizing risk mitigation and financial optimizationLead interdepartmental communications to resolve contractual issues promptlyConduct thorough proposal evaluations, ensuring compliance and accuracyMaintain precise contract documentation in adherence to government policiesOffer expert contract guidance to internal teams for complianceEnsure prompt review and communication of contract modifications to stakeholdersPossess extensive experience in cost-type contracts and FAR Part 15 Source Selection ProcessEducation / CertificationsBachelor of Science/ArtSignificant relevant work experience/training may be considered in lieu of a degree such as prior work in the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM)BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts401(k)PTOTuition reimbursementPaid federal holidaysSecurity ClearanceMust be a U.S.

Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required.

Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen.

The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
