    The Senior Commodity Specialist will be responsible for supporting Management with the identification, selection, sourcing, development and management of suppliers supporting multiple categories. The Sr. Commodity Specialist may also maintain MRP and Sourcing Pricing data in the ERP system for sourced components, and for auditing suppliers against contracted agreements. The Senior Commodity Specialist will participate in the implementation of new policies/procedures; support materials quoting efforts, assist in measuring vendor performance, and compliance and supporting the Planning teams. The position will also work with the Procurement team on Processes and Metrics that drive the business. Strong analytical skills and Process Improvement background is required. Finally, the position will lead efforts for Cost Reduction by developing a strategy and working to execute on that strategy.

    Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for commodities or assignments requiring application of sourcing methodologies, theories and concepts.
    • Supporting category managers by leading vendor selection decisions, policies and performance.
    • Utilize and understand best practices and industry trends.
    • Assist in development of purchasing policies and procedures supporting category initiatives as experience is gained and ensure category KPI targets are being achieved.
    • Use market research in sourcing decisions to ensure category objectives and targets are being met.
    • Maintain ERP data related to sourced components.
    • Lead global category supplier relationships and sourcing opportunities, including RFQ's, cost reductions and establishing global contract negotiations and addendums, etc. if applicable.
    • Execute global and/or local strategies and work towards developing a sourcing pipeline with cohesive and cost-saving agreements.
    • Responsible for sound contract management and driving continuous value.
    • Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree and five plus years' experience across supply chain required; or equivalent experience and/or education, with particular focus in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, competitive price analysis, supplier relationship management and performance management.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, or equivalent.
