- Performs echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms
- Demonstrates the ability to organize patient care and set priorities to ensure the completion of work assignments.
- Ability to be on call for after hour studies as needed.
- Utilize a variety of techniques, such as 2DE, M-mode, Doppler, Agitated saline contrast, Ultrasound Enhancement Agents (UEA), 2D strain or 3DE, etc.
- Perform a variety of echocardiography exams, including Stress echocardiogram, Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) echocardiogram, CRT, Ramp study, etc. May assist physicians in the Catheterization Lab and OR by performing echocardiography studies to aid them in proceeding with complex procedures to decrease risk factors.
- Obtain the necessary and accurate measurements and write preliminary report in a timely manner.
- Understand the scheduling rotation matrix
- Knowledge of anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, medical terminology.
- Skills with imaging equipment (projectors, cine processors), digital imaging and associated QC testing equipment needed.
- Ability to learn biomedical electronic, radiologic imaging, computer data entry, and hemodynamic monitoring skills.
