    About the Position/Contract:

    The Business Analyst [BA] consulting engagement will be hybrid (in-person meeting attendance will be required in the downtown Chicago, IL area) in support of project initiatives for major Utilities and Engineering service providers. Consultant must be based in Chicago or the Chicagoland area.

    The ideal candidate is experienced with business requirements gathering and analysis of Client processes. Keen listeners who possess hands-on experience utilizing standard BA and administrative tools are an ideal fit for this opportunity. Must be tech-savvy and have the capacity to complete tasks fluidly and with limited direction. Individuals with intermediate BA experience - including requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and process documentation/mapping background will receive preference for this opportunity.

    Individuals should feel comfortable in client-facing situations [in-person and via virtual meetings – e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.]. Five [5+] years of demonstrated advanced administrative experience [PowerPoint, SmartSheet development, etc.] in a remote environment is strongly preferred. .

    Multiple analysts may be needed for related projects. Length of the initial project is 14 weeks. Project kick-off as early as May 2024.

    Ideal Candidate Possesses:

    • Hands-on experience with process mapping [use of Visio, Lucidchart, etc.], requirements gathering, SOP development
    • Strong presentation development and delivery skills - professional, polished, suitable for an executive-level audience
    • Ability to capture meeting notes for technical and/or senior-level discussions

    Essential Functions:

    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Must be comfortable with fast-paced work demands and possess an ability to adapt quickly and easily; demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative work environment
    • Regular interaction with Senior-level personnel, as well as other members of staff at all levels of the organization

    Base Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree; Hands-on experience in a professional, corporate environment is ideal
    • Utility and/or Engineering Sector experience is an asset
    • 5+ years of experience supporting teams and/or senior-level staff in an Analyst or Consulting capacity [e.g., Management Consulting]
    • Advanced level of Word, Visio/Lucidchart [Similar Software], and PowerPoint preferred; SmartSheet experience is desirable
