- Complete and document a thorough Nursing Assessment within twenty-four (24) hours of patient's admission.
- Assess acuity of withdrawal and take necessary actions according to Physician's guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with patients and their families.
- Monitor vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
- Conduct venipuncture on patients safely.
- Administer various types of medications and treatments.
- Transcribe physician orders accurately and handle controlled substances responsibly.
- Conduct routine monitoring and testing procedures.
- Provide health education to patients and families.
- Maintain detailed and timely patient records.
- Participate in Clinical Team Staffing and quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to Nursing Standards of Practice.
- Create a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
- Conduct urine drug screens as needed.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with current State license (RN-preferred, LPN accepted).
- Minimum of two years' experience in chemical dependency treatment, experience with adults and adolescents preferred.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, maintain specific vision and hearing capabilities, and perform First Aid and CPR.
- Walk within the facility as needed and function effectively in high-pressure situations.
- If in recovery, must have two (2) years of continuous abstinence.
