Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Linux Cybersecurity Engineer to join our cybersecurity team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security technologies and extensive hands-on experience with security products on the Linux operating system.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions to safeguard our clients' systems and data against cyber threats.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses and risks.
Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
Perform security assessments of third-party applications and services to ensure compliance with security requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the development lifecycle of software and systems.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior members of the team.
Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to continuously improve our security posture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience working in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on Linux security.
Minimum 3 years of experience with security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
In-depth knowledge of Linux operating system internals and security mechanisms.
Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption, authentication, and access control.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
