- Answer inquiries regarding patients, clients, and doctor's offices regarding insurance, billing, invoicing, and other concerns
- Entering data into medical office software using ICD-10 billing and coding
- Filing insurance claims and adjustments
- Following up with insurance companies on the back end to follow up and see if the claim has been denied
- Medical Collections
- Posting charges/payments(electronic and hard copies)
- Other general office tasks as assigned
- Open and maintain customer accounts by recording account information.
- Maintain financial accounts by processing customer adjustments.
- Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
- Spanish - Bilingual is a plus
- MUST have insurance denials and cash posting experience
- Must have knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- MUST be familiar and proficient with ICD-10 billing and coding software
- MUST have at least 3 years of experience processing billing and filing insurance claims, appeals, and adjustments
- MUST have good phone skills
- MUST be able to follow repetitive process for entering data
- MUST be a team player and assist medical offices and coworkers when needed
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
