Adjunct Instructor of English– Online

Young Harris College invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track position to begin in August 2026. Duties will primarily include online teaching ENGL 1101 and 1102 for Young Harris College Dual Enrollment. Young Harris College Dual Enrollment is the YHC program in which high school students take college courses to receive transferable college credits while still earning credit toward high school graduation. The courses are pre-built in Moodle are 16-weeks long. The instructor is tasked with facilitating the courses, providing prompt, tracking student participation, giving meaningful feedback and communicating frequently with students. 

The successful candidate will have earned at least a Master's degree in English. A strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate curriculum is required. Candidate must be comfortable with technology and experience with Moodle is a plus.  Course enrollments are capped at a reasonable size. Instructors are compensated per course.
