    We Are Hiring:

    Full Time, On-Call, Rotating Weekends and Holidays

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Radiologic Technologist will operate computerized and manual radiological equipment for diagnostic purposes.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.


    OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
    Perform all routine and special radiologic procedures in the Department, as required by the staff physicians.
    Performs radiologic examinations in the department, portable, c-arm and trauma room patients.
    Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Radiology Director or Medical Director.

    Work as a technologist, with on-call duties on weeknights and weekends to be shared on an equal and equitable basis with other department staff.

    Must use proper operating techniques to minimize radiation exposure to the operator as well as to the patient.
    Develops films and prepares them for reading. Assists Radiology Secretary with filing reports in proper folders as well as making radiology disk for patients.
    Assists with maintenance and care of department equipment and supplies.
    Assists with cleaning processor and screens. Helps to maintain the cleanliness of the department and individual work areas. Reports to the supervisor any stock that is low for reordering. Assists with quality control and quality assurance programs.
    Attends in-services, meetings, educational programs, TQM meetings and other educational activity as required. Maintains CEU credits to meet ARRT requirements for registry certification.

    Multi-talented duties in the other imaging modalities provided at MCHS is required and will be expected to learn those modalities if not already a part of the employee's past work experience.

    EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
    Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist program
    Minimum of one year of experience

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
    Radiologic Technologist (LRT) license from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
    Certification and Registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association within 60 days for date of hire and always maintain a valid certification during employment.
