    Provides oversight of their assigned units daily as well as managing the activities of various IT developers in which they are the subject matter experts which oversees the technical aspects of a software team and guiding them in technical matters.

    Job Responsibilities

    Manages the day-to-day operations of a team with a focus on the maintenance and development of systems and supervising system modifications.

    Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress and accuracy of work. Provides staff management oversight including hiring, promoting, or making recommendations for staff. Conducts performance reviews and assessments, manages performance, engages in skills assessment, and promotes professional development of staff.

    Directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.

    Ensures adherence to policies, plans, objectives, budgets and staffing allocations.

    Manages and tracks team-level project details and serves as the technical subject matter expert and provides leadership during periods of transition.

    Job Qualifications

    Education
    Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience.

    Experience
    5 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development and/or enterprise system maintenance methodology, terminology, and standards required
    5 years – Systems maintenance and/or programming experience required
    3 year - Expert working knowledge of at least one programming language and/or one enterprise system in use at BCBST

    Skills\Certifications
    Knowledge of information technology concepts, methodology, terminology, and standards.
    Proven Skill to develop and/or maintain an enterprise IT system
    Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in one or more enterprise IT systems
    Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
    Microsoft Office and email skills are required
    Adaptive to high pace and changing environment.
    Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers.

    Must be willing to adjust schedule to plan and perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.


    Job Specific Requirements:


    Direct, motivate, and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.

    Ensure adherence to policies, plans, objectives, budgets and staffing allocations for the assigned site.
    Optimize the utilization of resources and adheres to Departmental budgeting and fiscal responsibilities.
    Lead Cyber Security improvement and Life cycle projects.
    Provide engineering support for technical implementation of Cyber Security solutions comprised of Cloud and COTS custom products.

    Provide guidance and direction on best practices for the protection of BCBST data, while ensuring compliance with regulations and privacy laws.

    Providing technical support on information security policies, principles, standards, and procedures.
    Manage, monitor, and report on BCBST security engineering assessment processes and secure configuration baselines.
    Comprehensive experience configuring and leveraging SSO and step-up authentication to support authorization, including federation services.

    Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or or complex concepts into information meaningful to IAM team members and/or business personnel.

    Comprehensive experience training, developing, and mentoring staff by providing subject matter direction and guidance. Assign, monitor, and review progress and accuracy of work.

    Provide staff management oversight including hiring, promoting, or making recommendations for staff. Conduct performance reviews and assessments, manages performance, engages in skills assessment, and promote professional development of staff.
