    Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a specialized area; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
    This position requires a minimum of an active TS/SCI clearance.

    Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph within a reasonable amount of time after hire, with acceptable timing determined by manager.

    Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    Senior Network Engineer

    In this role you will:
    Design, develop, build, and test network engineering solutions as part of a team that introduces new technologies and/or improves existing technologies in compliance with established project management processesLead major project initiatives and develop configurations using expertise in routing protocols, firewalls, data center protocols, security requirements and network virtualizationTroubleshoot, develop and design network architectures consisting of multilevel access and multilevel security platforms supporting both CONUS and OCONUS sitesConfigure, install, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, VOIP systems, video teleconferencing, and various other network and telecommunication componentsAnalyze and determine corrective action for secure data communications networksImplement US government COMSEC standards and practicesUnderstanding and implementation of Tempest standardsCreate/modify Microsoft Visio network diagramsAdapt to changing environments and coordinate large scale implementations using available resourcesSkillsets (required, non-optional) – all experience needs to be real-world and proven, not via exams or theoretical knowledge:

    Extensive experience on Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Must have configured/used both iBGP and eBGPModerate experience on Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) and Ethernet VPN (EVPN)

    Moderate experience with Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), EIGRP (which is Cisco proprietary) experience is not a substitute.

    Functional understanding of Internet provider/IP transit ecosystem (i.e., Tier 1 vs Tier 2 Internet providers – differences)Functional understanding of Azure networking constructs or their equivalents in other clouds (i.e., AWS VPC vs.


    Azure VNet):
    Examples: VNets, ExpressRoute, Azure App Gateway (Web Application Firewall, WAF)

    Ability to produce detailed engineering documentation:
    Network diagramming, rack elevations, routing designsCertifications: CompTIA Network+ or equivalent (CCENT/CCNA - Route/Switch)

    Skillsets (optional, nice to have)


    Program, install, load, and troubleshoot TACLANE EncryptorsModerate experience with one or more of: Palo Alto NGFW (Next Generation Firewalls), F5 BIG-IP (load balancing, Global Traffic Management), Citrix NetScaler (load balancing), Checkpoint NGFWSecurity background, firewall configuration and management experienceTraffic engineering experience – i.e.

    , peering with multiple Internet carriers, path optimizationExperience with other non-OSPF IGPs (Interior Gateway Protocols) – example: Intermediate System Intermediate System (IS-IS)

    Optical transport knowledge i.e., Coherent optics, Multiplexing/DWDMDesign of optical cable plant, testing and commissioning – i.e., cabling certification and approaches, demarcation approachesExperience running service-provider/carrier grade networks – metro and/or long-haulDesign and implementation of complex/multi virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) environmentsDesign and implementation of complex/multi ExpressRoute circuit designsExpert-level certifications:
    CCNP, CCIE, CISSPMultiple enterprise network vendor experience (Juniper, Cisco, etc., are examples)
